COURSE CONTENT

Autumn Term/ Spring Term:

Year 8 Mixed: Core skills; Gymnastics; Dance; Health related fitness; athletics.

Year 8 Boys: Football; Hockey; Rugby; Cricket; Tennis.

Year 8 Girls: Football; Hockey; Netball; Rounders; Tennis.

MONITORING PROCESS

Students are assessed on their knowledge skills and understanding during each activity and recorded on their individual PE profile.

KEY ASSESSMENT DATES

End of unit assessments (8 weeks) for each sport.

HOMEWORK

Preparation and planning at home.

Questions asked during lessons to research at home.

TEXT BOOKS/MATERIAL/VISITS

Extra Curricular Activities are offered: Netball, football, rugby, dance, gymnastics, aerobics, badminton, basketball, athletics, rounders, tennis and cricket.
